Joanne has been a dedicated piano teacher for many years. Some of her experience
includes teaching at Bryn Mawr Conservatory for over 20 years, Metronome Music School,
and Lynne Music School. Joanne has developed her own method of teaching young children,
many starting at age 4-1/2, making learning fun. She enjoys teaching all ages. Grade school and
High School students are a joy for her, since they are able to understand and develop their
abilities and express themselves in their music and performance. She has trained and coached
many adult students and loves sharing her vast knowledge and experience with them.
As a vocal coach, Joanne was choir director and/or organist at: Willistown Methodist,
Incarnation Holy Sacrament, Ebenezer United Methodist, and Good Shepherd Presbyterian
Churches.
Her training background includes: Clarke Conservatory of Music, and professional
piano, organ, and jazz Coaches from: Philadelphia Music Academy, Temple University, Cabrini
University, Beaver College, and professional jazz artist James Amadie. She has also
accompanied professional singers and artists in the Philadelphia area.
Joanne offers classical, jazz, and pop instruction. She strives to keep her lessons
Fun, in order to keep her students interested, challenged, inspired, and motivated.
